Gamification – using elements and design techniques from digital games to address business challenges – has become a widespread practice in a large number of industries. Both established organizations and startups are using gamification to engage customers, motivate employees, promote innovation, improve learning and development, and generate positive social impact. Gamification is not simply putting games into the workplace or sticking points and rewards into services. Done effectively, it incorporates principles from psychology, design, user experience, and analytics to integrate game-like experiences with business processes.

The workshop will show you how to take gamification to the next level, building on concepts described in Professor Werbach’s renowned gamification courses at Wharton and online on Coursera. It will feature hand-on design challenges and opportunities to focus on specific applications relevant to your organization. All students will receive a signed copy of Professor Werbach’s book For the Win: How Game Thinking Can Revolutionize Your Business.
